This is a fantastic pub with ample parking. It features a spacious play area for children complete with swings and slides. There are about 20 bench tables located at one end of the play area, making it easy to keep an eye on the little ones. There is also a large covered area with a big TV where you can watch BBQ food being prepared. The pub offers a variety of drinks and food at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and polite, making it an excellent spot for a drink or meal.
My friend went to the pub and saw a 'Slave Auction' poster on the wall. I am not of African descent, but I find this extremely offensive. I cannot understand how anyone would think it is acceptable to display such a thing. It is shameful, sickening, and speaks volumes about the owners of this establishment. I am appalled by their decision to have this poster up. Britain's history is nothing to be proud of, and showcasing a poster like this is completely disgusting. I am furious.
I was informed by a friend that this restaurant has a poster glorifying slavery displayed on its wall. Seeing this was deeply disturbing for my friend, and as a resident of Kent, I am highly disappointed. It is not only embarrassing but also troubling to see people proud of such a dark period in history. The right response would be to remove the poster, but as a person of color, I will not even consider using the bathroom at this establishment.
This place is great. We came here for an after party from my friends little girls Christening. The pub was warm and welcoming, the staff friendly and the garden had was a veritable animal farmyard outside in the large garden; great for families. Visited whilst out cycling as had passed it several times in the car. Nice selection of beers and a reasonably priced lunch was available. Lovely garden too. Will be back sometime soon with the grandchildren as they have some great swings etc in the garden too.
fantastic pub with very friendly staff who are very efficient. Good selection of drinks with a great garden with nice facilities for children. There are swings and animals for the children. keep u the good work.
If you want simple pub grub not posh not too expensive but home cooked, then this is the place. Ham off the bone egg and chips,to roast and all the trim. Great big garden for kids to run wild while you eat.
