The Singing Kettle Tearoom

We saw a 'specials ' board in the window which lured us in. No prices on it, but the 'Bubble and Squeak cakes with either avocado or bacon and poached egg ' sounded like a decent midday snack. It was good, as was the Earl Grey tea. But over £35 for what amounted to 2 plates of bubble and squeak, 2 rashers of bacon and a poached egg, plus tea for two? That WAS a surprise.

We had coffee and we’re nearly tempted by the lovely cakes. But this only a couple of hours after B’fast. The Owner was so pleased to see us and very happy to take a group photo.

I have been to the singing kettle numerous times over the years and not once have I had bad food or awful service. It’s great ! Staff are super friendly and the food is yummy.

Stopped at singing kettle for coffee before my journey home from Eastbourne, very small inside but have plenty of choices if you wish to eat
