What an amazing find . Came today 10/08/23 with daughter and our 3 grandchildren all ate and delicious food. They have an amazing beer garden/children's play centre IE... bouncy castle wooden adventure frame sand pit and pool table obvs for older children (pool table) all set on canal. Extensive lager beer and cider on draught. What made it for me was my mini massage and ice cold Corona on draught. BIG SURPRISE was 2 amazing holiday let's with hot tub and BBQ provided Keeley owner of these properties showede round absolutely immaculate. Can't wait to book. Keeley make sure your brother there to give me a longer massage
We parked our car and entered our car registration at the bar for free parking, which was very convenient. The drinks and food were reasonably priced and the food was delicious, especially the chicken and bacon wrap that was big enough for sharing. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed a walk along the canal afterwards. We were approached by another couple who asked about the food and we highly recommended it to them.
I visited this restaurant with my daughter for the first time. It appears that the pub is currently undergoing renovations. I found it odd that there was no signage on the actual pub indicating its name. We only had a drink and were told that some of the draught beer was not available. I believe this place would be more enjoyable to visit in the summer, sitting outside by the canal.
Went the Slipway with family and friends for my husbands birthday tea which was fantastic. All the staff on that night couldn't have done enough for us, they were fabulous and made it a really great occasion. Special mention to the chef who produced 18 meals which everyone enjoyed. The younger ones in the group loved the play area and ice creams in different flavours.

Changed owners time after time.. latest reincarnation looks good. Food competitively priced and a good choice. Pleasant canal side location. Also does day boat trips. Only drawback is the car park.... its big yet they want you to pay if you are not a pub customer. Killed our morning walk followed by lunch as the pub wasn't open. We don't all have smart phones !!!!!
We had a great time at this charming tavern located by the canal. We stopped in for drinks while we waited for our Lancashire Canal Cruise, the "Hot Pot Cruise." It was lovely sitting at the new outdoor tables by the canal. The food looked fantastic, and we were not disappointed - the Hot Pot was delicious. We can't wait to come back for Sunday lunch!
Called for drinks, it was a lovely day and the sun was shining so we sat outside. The drinks were served in reasonable time and they had some cocktails on tap. I tried the espresso martini and a passion fruit cocktail, both were very pleasant and served in a nice glass.
Me my husband and daughter had drinks on Friday evening while we were waiting for our Tapas cruise,It was the first time we had been in the pub,we will certainly call in again for a meal and drinks when we are back in the area in a few weeks time

We live local and was hoping for a new experience from previous landlords. Our impression was of a community club/sure start/drop in centre. Nice if that’s what you want but not for us thank you.
Had a lovley Sunday dinner food is brilliant here staff are lovley setting is lovley can’t fault it lovley day out by canal
