The Sombrero Tacoria, Ridgewood, N.j.

The nachos were disappointing. If you decide to order them, definitely request extra cheese, as they only topped them with about a tablespoon of cheese sauce, along with a few beans and very little crema. The presentation was nice, but when I flipped them over to check for cheese at the bottom, there was none to be found. I would recommend skipping these entirely. The only reason I gave this place three stars is because the Signature Birria Tacos (three to an order) were quite good. However, there was no sour cream available and no option to add it.

When you walk in the scenery is beautiful and extremely clean. I ordered birria tacos and let me say they are the best, most authentic FRESH tacos I?ve had! I have been on the search for a place with delicious birria tacos and I have been to plenty but this place hit the perfection mark. Exactly how birria tacos should be ! ?? For the most part the only thing that was ok was the birria tacos. I?ve had better. I had ordered through door dash and additionally got a guacamole and elote. Elote had no flavor at all despite it having cheese and sour cream. The guacamole was the worst. It was expensive for an 8oz guacamole and the quality was horrible! It was old, slimy and dark. They texted me and gave me a free elote after I reported the problem through door dash but I doubt I will redeem it or

If you want authentic and flavorful, look elsewhere. The elote (corn) was bland and tasted like nothing. The chips were stale and the guacamole was extremely salty. Tacos are bland. Aside from the food arriving so cold, it was just flavorless. The guacamole and chips are 8.50 and they gave me one of those tiny containers. Ridiculously overpriced. The food was very tasty very well presented tried something new that I usually don't try, and it was pretty awesome. The only problem was the delivery driver got lost because the GPS took them in the wrong direction, the food was late, so it wasn't hot other than that, I would recommend this place to anybody, and I'm sure if the food came hot, it would be even more awesome!!!!

This place has the best authentic fresh Mexican food! We had the Birria tacos which is the best we have had! The place was very clean. The staff was super nice and greeted us from the minute we walked in. Very fast and attentive service. The guacamole was also fresh and delicious. I will definitely be returning back. Also it's BYOB!

The food was mediocre and lacked flavor. The Uber delivery took quite a while, resulting in cold food upon arrival. We ordered elote that had little taste, nachos that were hardly topped, enchiladas that were tasteless, and the only redeeming dish was the taquitos, which were actually good. I won't be ordering from here again.

I never leave DoorDash reviews but the food here at Sombrero was too good to not comment on. The Signature Birria Tacos (3), Nacho Fries, and Tres Leches Cake were so amazing!! My entire family LOVED them. Each bite was filled with lots of texture and flavor. Really delicious food! Will DEFINITELY be ordering again! Reserva una mesa ahora

The nachos were fantastic! The black beans and all the other toppings were delicious. I wish there had been more shredded lettuce and pico de gallo, though. Additionally, we were only given one plastic fork, even though I requested two.
