The Strawberry Teapot Tearoom Cakery

To the wonderful owner and staff at Strawberry Teapot, My story starts with a trip planned to this cafe with my mum for her birthday, and will hopefully help to reassure other wheelchair/powerchair reliant customers : Accessibility: The owner had a conversation with us to tell us about their accessibility (there is a step at the front of the store, but access to the outdoor seating behind the cafe without steps . I use a powerchair, which can't, unfortunately, be lifted up with the help of others, but other smaller wheelchairs will still be able to be lifted up past the step on the front door. Despite this powerchair hurdle, we sat outdoors, which was beautifully arranged with summer plants....

Small tea room. Staff friendly. Accommodated allergies well. We had three different types of afternoon tea One full on normal afternoon tea with three types of sandwiches, plain and fruit scon, millionaire Shortbread, chocolate brownie and lemon slice 1 soya free afternoon tea with 3 types of sandwiches, 2 scones, lemon slice, apple and blackberry cake and another cake. 1 completely gluten free, had three sandwiches, cheese scone (amazing) and plain. Had blackberry and apple sponge cake , Victoria sponge cake and lemon slice cake. Small location very popular. £16.50 for afternoon tea Dietary restrictions: Soya and gluten free catered for

We had a delightful afternoon tea at this charming tearoom, which is beautifully decorated in a 1920s style. The service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and very friendly. The food was simply fantastic; everything looked and tasted incredibly fresh, and you could tell it was homemade. We couldn't find any faults with our experience. We highly recommend having afternoon tea here, and we will definitely return to the tearoom on our next visit to Sudbury. Thank you! Service: Dine in.

My Wife and I popped in for food and drink. My Wife had gluten free panini . I went for the Make your own omelette which was mushroom , cheese , bacon . Lovely and fluffy omelette with plenty of filling inside , crisps and salad complementary with the food. Staff very friendly and polite . Would recommend coming here. Gluten free options available. I discovered this delightful tearoom during my visit, and the food was absolutely delicious. I typically don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but the Bakewell tart was simply exquisite. It’s definitely made it onto my list of favorite spots to return to. As for dietary restrictions, they inquired about any when we were seated. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience for breakfast!

What a delightful experience! This is such a refreshing and friendly place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Thank you for your warm hospitality and the amazing pot of proper tea. My dad mentioned that your scrambled eggs were the best he’s ever had!
