I have eaten here before with friends and it has always been great and so I decided to take other friends there for lunch. One of my guests had the pint of prawns, he said it was tasteless and had no flavour at all. He then had apple crumble and custard for dessert. When it arrived the small jug of custard was balanced on the side of the dish and as the waitress put it on the table it fell off spilling all over the table. The waitress asked if he wanted it cleaned up and he said yes please, she asked if he wanted more custard and he said yes please, she came back and the bottom of the very small jug was only just covered !!. We booked the swan for a wake this week Michelle and her team did an amazing job. They were kind, attentive and courteous. The food was delicious and perfect for the numbers. We needed more tea and coffee, do Michelle checked with us before brining out as it needed a top up payment. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. I can't thank them enough for their help with such a difficult and unexpected event.
Beautiful views and outdoor seating Visited with our 9 week old baby, went in to ask for menus and was informed it was table service which was perfect. However we waited 25 minutes to order drinks after flagging someone to do so which was tricky with a baby. Ate dinner 55 minutes after arriving Chips were lovely, salad was plain and chicken halloumi burger had minimal sauce/flavour sadly
Wow, what a lovely find. Booked online earlier in the week looking for Sunday roast by the coast. Menu was quite varied and rice was excellent value for money. Seated in the dining room (rather than the ‘carvery room’ which was delightful along with log fire. Food was very good and the services was really decent (doesn’t seem always to be the case these days Will definitely be back!

Had a lovely Christmas lunch today. Thank you so much to all the staff who were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We were a family with a wheelchair and a high chair. Everyone was accommodated comfortably. Food was great and everyone had a great time. Thank you!!
We were served by Phil and Summer. The drinks came out extremely quick by Summer who was very polite, welcoming and efficient. Phil took our order with a smile, and our food was delicious. Beautiful views of Westgate bay was able to watch the sunset. Will definitely be returning!
You can’t beat the summer views when sat outside the Swan, especially on a Sunday afternoon when they have live music. Just take a seat and the staff come and serve you. Without doubt a member of staff by the name of Phil is a ray of sunshine. The swan are lucky to have him
The Service was gold , served by Molly, who was professional and attentive. The Fajitas's were exceptional, thank you to the Chef. I will definitely be back. Well done The Swan!! All keep up with Sterling Service delivered every time.

We enjoyed our dinner at the Swan friendly staff and good food. We had a table overlooking the sea and our Border Collie was given treats and fresh water. We look forward to a return visit when we are in this area again.
