Just there for a meal only. Sadly it was very disappointing and I would not recommend based on our experience. Food drinks: The pub is very traditional and the furnishings are a little tired. We chose it because it was dog friendly and had reasonable/good reviews. But sadly the food we both ordered the special (braised beef with mushrooms and brandy gravy and bubble and squeak) was not good at all. The dish was a good sized portion with a generous plate of veg each but sadly the beef was not as described it was supposed to be slow braised but was quite tough and not falling apart as expected. Despite what other people have said (they obviously have no sense of humor! regarding the rather funny, though dry humble commentaries on the board they welcome outside as well as the flip side of the menu, why this is a grown-up only pub. we found this very old and characterful pub a real gem. we had both sweethearts (Rosmarin-Café and salat and sweet potato cashew and spinach-Curry with rice and usual, which was the best curry I tasted in a pub! followed by ice (6 aromen between us! we could not have our food quite expensive compared to some perhaps, but we have the money for the quality of the foods that we presented.
Food drinks: We booked a table for four for an evening meal. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had theatre tickets booked so had to be served promptly. The staff were fabulous. Quick service but not rushed. Would highly recommend and would definitely return when visiting the area in the future. Service: 5

Stopped here randomly after a day mountain biking on the Malvern Hills. Great old fashioned British pub, friendly staff, very tasty and well priced food. Going back to take my parents soon. Recommended. Service: 5 Location: 5
