I 've been to lots of irish pubs in my life and I do have a pretty good idea what to expect from them. The Trinity does not really fulfill that. The decor is very sparse, there 's hardly any pictures, no carving in the wood, no decorative lamps, etc. it really seems to be empty, you don 't feel the love for the location. The top floor is also where the kitchen is located, whereas the bar is on ground level. So top floor is not recommended, the smell from the kitchen is pretty heavy. First time we 've been there we went just for drinks and it was a really busy night. Working the counter myself from time to time, I know what this means. I believe the food is usually great. The burgers are even better than most burger restaurants in town. I consider it a bit expensive, especially for starters, but still great. The place is cozy and casual enough. UPDATE: The last time they brought me fried potatoes completely raw.
