First off, our barman/server/waiter was a gem. Affable, friendly, attentive, and it was just him serving everyone in the place. It wasn't too packed for a Sunday night, a couple of other families eating and some couples at the bar, but he (despite being the only front of the house staff) stopped to chat with everyone and was gracious and attentive. Service was top notch. Unfortunately, the kitchen couldn't live up to the staffing experience. Kids meals were free with and adult entree, and despite the massive size of the burger and overall quantity of food for our little one, beef was quite dry. We wanted to stop for lunch on our trip up the 401 from Toronto to Montreal, and this seemed like a good part of the route in which to stop. We had the Big Blue Burger and the Chedder Jack BLT. The Big Blue was tasty with crunchy bacon, a burger with a crispy edge and melty with the blue cheese. The meat itself, which are waitress said comes from a local butcher shop, was some of the most flavorful and I’ve EVER had. It was really just the perfect burger.I also had the soup of the day with the burger instead of chips/fries. The broth of the salmon and shrimp chowder was wonderful and I had a large bowl. 3.00pm on a Sunday afternoon looking for somewhere to eat. The bar was nearly empty which suited us. The waiter recommended dishes....the Cottage Pie was exactly as my British mother would have made it. All meat and gravy with well prepared potato on top. Not full of vegetables as most are..this was the real genuine article. The beer was cold (actually the waiter knew how to pour a black and tan).

Lunch with friends. Good food and service. Worth visiting. Local charm. Enjoyed visiting with Olga (Stevie) made the visit unique. We will not forgot her mom's four rules to live by. Will definitely be back when in the area again. Hopefully we will see Olga again may her "batteries " charge someones day.

We were planning light lunch and cocktails with friends on a getaway boating trip on the St Lawrence - atmosphere comfortable and inviting- food ordered as expected- nice visit from Local senior Olga AKA- 'Stevie' who was was delight and made our day!

We were in Brockville on business an picked this place to have dinner. The restaurant was pretty empty but it was a Monday night. While the one waitress that was there was very entertaining our meals was average quality at a reasonable price.

Went to the Union Jack with three friends for dinner. Food was fresh and the portions were large, Lots of selection.Cody, our waiter, was very friendly and efficient. Best lemon pie I've ever had!

Sweet server, but then we were early for lunch so the only ones in the place. Good value and nice assortment of beers. Go for the the lunch special, and they have a seniors' discount on Tuesdays.

Great beer and excellent staff. Best place to enjoy a pint and visit with family and friends. Staff is friendly, helpful and always happy to see you.

I have been to the Union Jack Pub twice and wasn't overly impressed. Dull atmosphere and lack lustre service. I wouldn't go back.
