Today was my first time visiting the Uptowner. Great food, character and staff! I’m always looking for great “hole in the wall” places for breakfast. This is exactly what I’m looking for. I had the Denver omelette. It was delicious. The hash browns were cooked well. Staff were incredibly friendly. I will be visiting this cafe more often. Parking: Lots of parking on Grand Ave.
We had a gotten the wrong order, the waitress was kind but wasn't able to do anything. We left without really eating (because the wrong order and cold coffee). Tried calling the manager for 4 days in a row, the woman who answered each day said she gave the manager a message but still have not received a call back. Really frustrating service. Will continue to call and stop by.
This breakfast was amazing! I appreciate the cafe style and the options they had available. My goal was for a breakfast sandwich, which they don't seem to have. I originally rated 4-stars just because there is always something to strive for. Though they are active on their reviews; that tells me they are looking to strive for the extra touch. Well worth the full rating!
Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. My second time in. First time was much better. Good food but chef may have been a little rushed. Bacon a little burnt and eggs very bland. Not bad overall tho. I absolutely love this place. Best pancakes in town, delicious meats, amazing staff. Somehow the vibe makes you feel like you’re in a comic book? Haha can’t explain it but I love it. We’re big time diner fans, and Uptowner, along with Ideal Diner, are our all-time favorite places in the twin cities. Hands down.
Hole in the wall place advertising all day breakfast. Looked like a cool locals type of place. Friendly staff, I took the waitress recommendation of the Cajun breakfast and didn’t regret the choice. At first I thought it was expensive, but between the quality and the size, I’d say it’s worth the price.
Been going here for years! Chocolate chip pancakes are amazing they serve a generous amount of hash-browns. Their Groupon makes their already fair prices that much better. Worth trying if you enjoy wholesome breakfast food for a good price.

Cozie Corner offers a wonderful dining experience, especially with its excellent breakfast selection. The staff was fantastic, and the food was incredibly flavorful. The portion sizes are generous as well.
