Came here with friends 8/12/22 when I booked in September for December they said on phone it was £14.50 each for afternoon tea each needs deposit of £5 each if more than 4people there was 5 of us which was good as that's what they usually cost anywhere else is usually homemade food !but got there today and it's all shop bought land tiny amounts of food! With tiny cups of ted where you get 2 cups each 1 glass of sparkling water had to pay £6 for an extra pot of tea for 2 ppl !! The best part was the bill they came and said we all need to pay £20 each more unless had more tea then it's £23 each and this doesn't include the deposits!! We asked why when they saying it's £14.50 each when booked ?...

I visited this restaurant in December with some friends. We were informed of the price over the phone and had to pay a deposit in advance, which we did. Unfortunately, the food was not good – the sandwiches and cakes were stale and out of date. When we mentioned this to the staff, they were very rude and made us feel uncomfortable. To make matters worse, when we received the bill, it was not the price we had been quoted and the deposits we had paid were not deducted. The staff insisted on one friend going through her bank statements in front of everyone to prove the deposit had been made, which was unacceptable. When we questioned the price, the staff member just rolled her eyes and said tha...

The staff at the restaurant were polite and friendly, but unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. I ordered the ploughman's lunch, which was supposed to come with 2 types of cheese, carved ham, salad, pickles, coleslaw, crisps, and chunky bread. I requested Cheddar and Wensleydale cheese, but it arrived with blue cheese instead. The ham was thinly sliced, the crisps seemed like leftovers, and the bread was pre-sliced and buttered. My husband ordered the honey and mustard chicken ciabatta with a side of crispy potatoes, but the potatoes were oily and overcooked. Overall, the long wait for our food and the subpar quality left us disappointed. The staff apologized and did not cha...

Decided to try this little tea room for a festive Afternoon tea. £24.50 Two young staff members took our order. The young male was very polite and helpful. The young female however really gave us the impression that she didn't want to be there and was reluctant to answer our questions regarding the choices on the menu, to the point where she rolled her eyes when asked. The afternoon tea was poor value and quality and appeared to be all shop bought, nothing home baked. With one element being 2 pieces of Frys mint chocolate bar with a lotus biscuit. Poor food experience. Afternoon tea was tiny and very few sandwiches, Litrally not even a full normal sized sandwich each. The cakes were out of a packet and a cheap one at that. The trifle was served in night club style shot glasses and the jelly wasn 't even set. Just really not a good victorian style afternoon tea . Staff were lovely and setting was nice but the rest was disappointing

This was the worst toastie I've ever had. We ordered a cheese and chutney toastie that was supposed to come with a side salad and coleslaw. What we received was a burnt toastie with very little cheese and store-bought chutney. There was no coleslaw, and the salad had crusty bits in it. I definitely would not recommend this place. My dog could make a better toastie.

Not very impressed with Victoria tea rooms. The cutlery wasn’t clean I had to ask for replacement knifes and forks. The tea cup had stains in, dirty sauce bottle and the salt and pepper pots on the table weren’t clean. No soap in the toilet either! Food was average, tasted a bit bland like cheap food. Orange juice wasn’t of good quality either. Won’t be returning!

I ordered poached egg on toast with bacon. My sister also ordered poached egg on toast. It was really slow to arrive, all poached eggs were hard and they were served as sandwiches. My sisters coffee was slow to arrive. There was an underlying smell of bleach, although we were sat quite close to the kitchen. Reserva una mesa ahora

I was sold a chocolate bar that was 6 months past it’s use by date. The decor was quite quaint but would not revisit for this reason unfortunately
