THE VIEW LUGANO - Reservar una mesa

Wir haben für unseren letzten Urlaubstag einen Tisch in The View reserviert um einen letzten perfekten Abend zu haben. Es hat viel versprechend gestartet. Der Concierge hat uns in der Tiefgarage empfangen und bis hoch zum Restaurant begleitet. Wir wurden nett empfangen und zum Tisch begleitet. Schönes Ambiente, tolle Aussicht. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Die einzelnen Speisen wurden etwas spärlich erklärt für ein Surprise Menu aber mit dem können wir leben. Aber nun zu den Punkten, die uns enttäuscht haben und schlussendlich den Abend verdorben haben. Wir wurden nach Kaffee gefragt, haben 2 bestellt, nichts kam. we went fo my mother's birthday and although our expectations were very high, we left disappointed. When we arrived the place was empty which is not necessairly a bad thing: it was just us 3 and another couple. Half of the menu was not available that night and after we ordered they came and told us that they didn't have enough of the ingredients to satisfy the order.. we had to change again. We asked for more focaccia and they did not bring us any. Food was very good but and the place overlooking the lake is a gem, but service should be improved especially at that price point. It's a shame that such a place fails on something so basic for a luxury restaurant .

Excellent stay. Our last minute stay due to a change of plans. Booked it the night before and arrived with great expectations that matched! View was certainly good overlooking the majestic Lugano. The other bad point is that it can get real bad going up and coming down the hotel to the train station when checking in and out, especially tourists whom are not driving. Something the hotel can consider: ferrying customers from train station which can be super helpful.

Il posto è incantevole e molto rilassante.Il personale è stato molto accogliente sin dal nostro arrivo in garage.Unica nota stonata sta nella cucina, a parer mio troppo cara per quel che è.Ho mangiato degli gnocchi discreti, così come l’antipasto di lago e la cheescake.Il rapporto qualità-prezzo mi ha lasciata un po’ perplessa.Ottima invece la carta dei vini e champagne.

Wonderful food and atmosphere. Staff very attentive and personal service. Have eaten both from the taster menus and a la carte. Would recommend the taster menu with wine pairing to get the full experience if you are looking for something a bit special.

The fine dining experience is superb and absolutely worth the trip and a detour. The entire set up is very refined and the food presented is fantastic. Everything is carefully detailed. and the portions are generous. Look forward to my next visit!!

Dinner in the view is on another level. Great food, beautifully prepared, many surprises, best quality, best preparation, best explanation, amazing wine selection. The taste of the ingredients is natural, not so often oversalted.

I only had dinner, I found the service poor, the kitchen closed very early and they turned off the lights while we were still at the table to get us to leave, around 11pm. Not up to expectations

This is a super nice place with an amazing service and the food was outstanding. We enjoyed every second. The terrace is super nice and the view is awesome. We will be back.
