The Village Chippy

We enjoyed a delicious meal at this restaurant. I had the lightly battered fish with chips, peas, and tartare sauce, while my wife had scampi with chips and tartare sauce. Our two children had kids meals, one with fish bites and the other with sausage. Everything was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be returning in the future!

The Village Chippy has replaced their front of shop staff. Previously miserable, they are now happy, smiling, and courteous with an excellent attitude. It is a pleasure to visit this establishment, and the top-quality food makes it a clear winner in Rainford and the surrounding areas.

I usually enjoy eating at this fish and chip shop, but on this occasion I was disappointed. We arrived at 8:13 PM and found the doors locked, even though it was advertised online that they were open until 8:30 PM and on TripAdvisor until 9:00 PM. It was a wasted trip.

I've visited this Chippy many times in recent years and it offers a great choice at very reasonable prices. It's always easy to park outside here in the evenings, which helps ensure the food is still warm by the time you get home. Reserva una mesa ahora

The portion size was generous, enough to serve two people. The food was hot and freshly cooked. My take-out dinner experience was excellent, with a rating of 4 for the food and a perfect 5 for both service and atmosphere.

Swimming in oil, I can say with 100% conviction this is the worse chip shop experience I have had. The oil sloshing around the try was awful, the omelette burned and full of oil. The fish and chips the same. Truly awful.

Really nice food. Had the scampi. It was amazing! Husband tried the hot curry and it was really tasty. Both meals were big portions and it came to 7quid which was really reasonable.

Well worth a visit if you like fish and chips. Order your fish as you walk through the door. They don't sell anything but good cod.
