We came here solely for the oysters, and they were incredible. We got the Chef's Dozen to get a mix of their 3 varieties. While the briny were the best, they were all incredible. Deviled Eggs were also a bigger winner. Your typical deviled egg topped with oysters and chipotle mayo. So savory, so delish. Drinks were good, we enjoyed the sangria. Wouldn't come here for the drinks though. They're good, yes, but the oysters are the star of the show. Reservations highly recommended. We did a walk in and we were lucky enough to get a couple seats at the bar. But that was all that was available all the other tables were reserved out. We visited the National Harbor for work and went out to grab something to eat after. Didn't know what to expect as many restaurants had bad reviews in the area. Chose the Walrus oyster and Ale house as I have a lot of food allergies and I can usually find something bland to eat. This place had great food at reasonable prices for the area... but the best part was the service! Darnell was our server and he was outstanding. He was kind and personable while being attentive and cautious about ensuring my food was order correctly and safe for me. Great spot for oysters and quick bites! I tried three of the **** and three Blue Point oysters—definitely go for the ****, it's the better option! I also had shrimp fettuccine, half a baked chicken, fried calamari, a Caesar salad, cream of corn, potato and leek soup, and grilled zucchini. The cheese mashed potatoes were way too salty, so I swapped them for the cream of corn. Our server, Miguel from the West Coast, was super cool and provided exceptional service. If it hadn't been for the salty mashed potatoes, I would have given a full five stars. The table next to us ordered the full fried seafood platter for $65, and it looked well worth it. Everything was absolutely delicious and flavorful, except for one item! The coconut shrimp were the largest I've ever encountered (and we frequent many seafood restaurants)! The salmon, vegetables, and mashed potatoes were flawless. As someone who loves salmon and has tried it in numerous places, I can confidently say it was cooked to perfection—not overdone or undercooked, just juuuuust right! My husband and our friend, who was visiting from out of town, raved about the hush puppies and calamari. Our friend also enjoyed her strawberry and goat cheese salad and understood why her coworkers had recommended this restaurant. We just wish we didn’t live two hours away so we could dine here more...

I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The food was outstanding, and the customer service was top-notch as well. Just as we were about to be seated, we encountered a difficult situation with a fellow diner, but I chose to stay clear of any confrontation. The manager quickly stepped in and seated us at a different table. Since it was our first visit, he made it a point to check on us several times, especially at the end of our meal. During our conversations, I sensed his genuine empathy and appreciated how he treated us like guests in his own home, with the highest level of hospitality and respect.
What a near place What a neat place in National Harbor! The food was delectable! Our crab dip appetizer was eaten so quickly I couldn't get a picture- it was THAT good! My crab cakes (pictured) were delicious and just the right amount! The service was excellent. Our server did a great job with explaining the menu and checked in just enough to see how we were doing. The vibe is modern seafood shack with a more upscale appeal for the area. So glad we tried this place! Highly recommend!
Yummy food, great environment and even better service. We had a party of 10 and Nia was a gem ensuring we were all taken care of. Loved our evening feasting at Walrus, highly recommend and if you're lucky enough to have Nia serve you then enjoy it all!
This is my favorite spot to hang out grab a glass of wine and have great food. Sometimes bar tenders can be hit or miss but last night we had Will as our bartender and he was awesome. Hopefully he sticks around he made it an awesome experience.
