For starters, we ordered garlic mushrooms with blue cheese sauce. I was a bit hesitant about the blue cheese, as I'm not usually a fan, but it turned out to be delightful. For the main course, I had the beef fillet with tomato sauce, and the meat was incredibly tender—it practically melted in my mouth. My friend ordered the same dish but with blue cheese sauce, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. We also shared some cheese-covered chips on the side. We just returned from a fantastic meal tonight! We were already stuffed after our starter and main courses when we were offered the dessert menu. Although it’s tempting to take a look, how could we possibly resist the renowned sticky toffee pudding from Cartmel? Despite being so full, we couldn’t give it up! I had a perfectly cooked steak, while Andy enjoyed a delicious chicken dish smothered in cheese. We ended our meal with our favorite pudding. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was lovely. This was our first visit, and we will definitely be back!

Absolutely gorgeous meal last night. Friendly and professional front of house chef who obviously passionate about his cuisine putting wonderful twists to dishes and locally sourced meat and cheese etc. Worth paying bit more for excellence.

I had the most delightful afternoon by the water in a cozy borough with a group of 15 for afternoon tea. The setting was amazing, and the food was fabulous—truly the best afternoon tea I've ever had. I can't thank them enough!

Had a big celebration there and the staff could not do enough for us. The food was excellent, the waiters and waitresses very professional and the atmosphere perfect. Would definitely recommend for a lovely night out. X
