When it finally did come, it was surprisingly small for something listed in the “large plate” section of the menu—I could have eaten it in a single bite. Everything on the menu is absolutely incredible. It offers a delightful culinary experience for those who truly appreciate good food. The menu changes with the seasons and features local meats and produce. While the prices are on the higher side and the portions are small, we usually save this place for special occasions when we want to indulge in great quality. For two people, we recommend ordering one dish from each course to share! The patios are lovely on summer evenings, and the bar is great as well.
I actually didn't get to stay at The Way Home, but I want to write a review to express my gratitude for the flexibility and kindness that Jess showed me when I almost stayed there. She offered to pick me up from the airport when I realized my rental car plan was no longer an option.My flight was then delayed a day, so I asked Jess if they could refund some of my reservation (which was at peak time during X-Games). She was very understanding and helpful and refunded me part of the charge. Thank you!
From the moment I walked into the restaurant and was welcomed with genuine warmth, I was captivated by the delightful Albariño on tap paired with a crudo salmon appetizer and a scrumptious pork cut. The overall atmosphere exuded ease and comfort—along with absolute deliciousness—making The Way Home truly special. It feels like this place has been around forever, even though it’s new. A fine dining place which recently opened up in Carbondale, this place takes reservations. The menu is very selective and is Italian oriented with a few surprise items in between! The appetizer portions were large enough but the pasta and salad portions left us feeling shorthanded. Its definitely flavorful, has great ambiance, ample parking and cheerful servers. Definitely go check it out!
I had a wonderful time relaxing on the dog-friendly outdoor patio while enjoying live music on a Friday. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the next morning for brunch. The atmosphere and service were both excellent, and there was plenty of outdoor seating available. The interior decor was lovely as well. I tried a delicious cocktail, and the brunch was fantastic too.
There are pluses such as friendly staff. The poutine is very good! Seating is not very comfortable, booth style or chairs with bouncy backs that offer no support. Pasta dish was oversalted. Has potential. Will try again. Prices on the higher end. Dinner menu has Aspen prices, higher than expected for this location.
TWH is now open for business! The food is outstanding, with plenty of gluten-free options for food enthusiasts like me, and the drinks are just right! The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy, and the service is excellent. If you’re searching for me, I’ll be at TWH!

we always enjoyed the way home. eating is excellent, unique and delicious. the waiting staff is always helpful and friendly. the atmosphere cannot be matched in any season. the summer on the terrace is exceptional. go soon and enjoy them!
