My partner and I decided to revisit here as we had been about a month ago and the food was very impressive in particular the pate and lasagne were exceptional last time. So we thought we would go again on Friday wish we hadn’t! We sat in the restaurant area on a small table for 2 by the window. The tables were a little sticky. So we wiped them with a napkin. Booked a table for Sunday dinner. The staff were very polite when we arrived. Had a drink in the bar until our table was ready. On walking into the restaurant I notice how dirty the place was. I understand Sundays get busy. We sat at our table it obviously hadn’t been cleaned properly. Instantly we were told there are two roast dinners left but we had to tell the straight away. We wanted three so we took the two and my husband had Fish Chips. My husbands meal came pretty quick, so we told him to start as it would go cold. About 8 minutes later the roast dinners arrived. I have been to this restaurant a couple of times, always when there is entertainment. The food has been consistently amazing, whether it's the platters they offer during acts or from the regular menu. Last night, I had the delicious lasagne with garlic bread and salad. It was not your average pub lasagne, the flavors were wonderful. My partner had the steak and chips, which he said were both fantastic. We both loved the Diane sauce, agreeing it was one of the best we've ever had. I even mentioned I could happily eat a pot of it with garlic bread for dipping. We have eaten here a few times. Always amazing. On Friday evening we came here and got a table outside. We both ordered pasta dishes. Both were absolutely stunning! Massive portions. So much that we asked for takeout boxes. It did our tea next day! Lovely pub and on that night lots of lovely dogs with owners too! Look forward to returning!

Came on fathers day...Lovely tender beef roast dinner.crispy Yorkshire puds 5 different Al dente veg...loads of gravey. Great talented musician playing sax guitar keyboard an vocals. Outstanding customer service from all the staff. Great ambiance and excellent value. Highly reccomend and will be back very soon. Thankyou to all the team.xxc
Well it's extremely rare to find a pub that does outstanding food and tonight it's a Fleetwood Mac tribute wow simply outstanding performance ,a family friendly happy nice Vibe venue , well done whoever runs the show you are a credit to your prefesion and your staff are exemplary.love Allan and Ruth x
Food quality and presentation great with a good chef in situ…don’t let him go! Service as always great and Jack a great host! Would be five stars if the prices were not so high..come on it’s a local pub not a restaurant!!
We ate here for an evening meal. The 2 girls who worked behind the bar and in the restaurant area were great. Very welcoming and very polite. Food was top dollar. Special thanks to Erin.

The food at this restaurant was excellent. The omelette was both large and tasty, and the Dorito burger special was a unique and delicious dish. The service from Tash was fantastic.
Just been for a Sunday roast and it was excellent. Food top quality. Great staff will definitely be back again. Five stars
