Visited for Sunday lunch. Friendly welcome and sat in a dining area. It was Baltic, freezing cold. Poor girl couldn't do much, but turning the heating on an hour before opening might help. I noted that the bar area was a lot warmer, which made me question their seriousness about offering dining. A star lost as for a Sunday roast lunch at their pricing, the portion sizes were adequate, but not to the level of competing locations. Adequate parking at rear, but uneven surface. Also step down into toilet, unlikely to be wheelchair friendly as doors and corners too tight.
Warm welcome from the landlady. Lovely food and even the scampi was made by the chef! No frozen pre-made rubbish. And you could tell. Lovely batter-breadcrumbed coating, without that industrial denseness, and the scampi was beautifully cooked, firm, juicy and not dried out. They serve Inches Cider on tap, delicious. I just wish the volume on the music was a bit lower!
Perfect country pub. Having recently moved back to the village, it’s been wonderful to find the White Hart being so well run. The landlords are amazing, friendly and accommodating. The chef is awesome, I have never had a less than delicious meal here and I’m so glad we have this as a local now. And Nova the dog is super cute and so well behaved. Highly recommended.
Soggy tempura confirmed by chef , frozen roast potatoes !!!!!! onions on a plate when asked for no onions for someone who is allergic and it’s freezing in there …I wish I went to Hartford marina ! Very disappointed.

Food and service were excellent...we had the Sunday roast and you couldn't fault it! Well worth going... Only down side is the pub could be a little warmer in temperature...we will definitely be returning....

Excellent meal with the family. The chef, Craig, did an excellent job. Very good wine suggestion by the barman, reasonably priced.
Great food, dog friendly, and friendly staff. Made my mum have a great birthday lunch.
