We went to the restaurant for Christmas Eve lunch and arrived just before 12.00pm. The carpark was full, and we had to park in a non-designated spot due to a Christmas service at the local church. We were informed that the restaurant had moved to a nearby building, which seemed to be a wedding venue. Despite some confusion and having to retrace our steps, we eventually found our way to the bar area. The room was spacious with a long bar, but it felt cold and lacked ambiance with only a few tables in use. Service was a bit slow, but the food was delicious and plentiful. The Good. Nice restaurant and staff excellent and attentive. Food good value and tasty and menu excellent choice. Some of the January specials advertised in the week were really good. Not so Good. Entrance is used as a smoking area so can be a bit off putting walking into restaurant in a smoke filled area. Perhaps a dedicated area for smokers needed but not the access point into the venue. Restaurant was not very warm on this date perhaps fire needed to be put on to make it cosy.
I have been lucky enough to eat here twice in the last week. The food has been first class on both occasions. The service is very professional and just right, not too intrusive. Two very enjoyable visits and looking forward to the next, so lucky to have an establishment like this so close to home.
This restaurant has excellent food and attentive staff, especially in the restaurant section. They always made sure we had enough drinks and were enjoying our meal. The menu may be small, but it offers a lovely selection. The wine choices were also very good. I highly recommend this place!

The service was excellent and our meal was delicious. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to friends, neighbors, and family. I cannot wait to return, and the Timothy Taylor's beer that they serve is fantastic.
Excellent lunch. Great value on the 2 for 1 menu. The service was excellent. I definitely recommend the stone bass. It was cooked to perfection with a lovely sauce and vegetables. We will definitely return here again.
Amazing Quality of food, lovely open fires, great choice of beers and Ales. Would certainly recommend. They have a quality chef at the helm. Our new Sunday roast spot now!
Excellent service, friendly staff. My only complaint was that the nut roast tasted like a packet mix. All the other food was good value. Would definately go again.

Accommodated us at last minute, great food and lovely staff. We had a January offer 50% of our food, and they were great catering gluten free for me.
