We were looking for a lunchtime place to eat and drink and we saw a sign for The White Lion, we followed it for a mile or so and were delighted to find this truly wonderful place, the decor was so welcoming and the staff were how you would want them to be, so friendly, warm and welcoming (especially a great lad named Blue !!!! the food was simply delicious and the prices were as cheap as I have seen anywhere, I cannot praise this place highly enough and if you are near then pay The White Lion a visit, we will return without doubt, thank you all for a lovely visit and we look forward to seeing you again...fantastic !!!!!!!
Private room with a fork buffet was arranged for a family get together age range from 5 ton 92. The staff were geared up to be welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The buffet was good quality and there was flexibility, demonstrated when the youngsters wanted more chips! The food was a broad array whereby everyone was happy and the socialising continued with a calm and friendly atmosphere, made possible by discreet and attentive service. Highly recommended. Good parking, nice array of beers, attentive staff.
Went for lunch here after a walk in the woods and was so lovely, the service (lovely happy lady), the atmosphere, the setting and the food just topped it off. The quality and quality was something else!! It was served in good timing and presented really well. Top top marks!! Gutted we heard the burns night was on the day we went for lunch as we would have definitely come back for that evening! Maybe next year though! Thank you for making our afternoon!
Five of us came for an evening meal when our daughter was home from university. It was pie night, which two of us enjoyed. The others enjoyed a selection from the main menu. All the food was excellent, including desserts. Service was prompt, personal and very friendly. A lovely atmosphere and will definitely be back. Would highly recommend.

We have spent 5 nights at this hotel and were delighted. The staff is lovely and the food excellent. If like us you have dogs ask for room 1 as the room comes with a lovely shaded and fenced courtyard. The building is really beautiful and the attention to details is appreciated. We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back.
Not been for a while so booked for Sunday lunch. Really good to see a pub that has not put its prices up to £20 for a main. Sunday roasts were priced at £12.50 so really great value. Staff were very friendly, dogs were welcome, food was really nice and the desserts were amazing!! Would highly recommend
A wonderful lunch in a real country pub. This was our third lunch visit over the last year and we were not disappointed. This was our first visit on a Sunday and the roast lunch lived up to our expectations. Despite being very busy, the staff remained as efficient and friendly as ever.
Stopped at Airbnb across the road for 4 nights and went to the pub a couple of times. Good food and beer, and very friendly staff. Best to book in advance for food, especially Sunday roast and Wednesday quiz.

Really lovely pub, great outdoor area and tasty food. The menu caters for every want and on top of that my fussy requests so thank you to the very accommodating chef and front of house staff (blonde lady).
