As a local, I'm clearly biased, but I love this pub. Always lively, traditional, and a beer-drinkers haven. Several good hand-pulled beers, some brewed locally, and others available as guest beers. There is no food served here, its sole purpose to be an excellent provider of licensed liquor. Always warm, with an open fire, and Dog-friendly. The staff are hard-working, friendly and offer excellent service even when it's busy. I hope this pub lasts forever. Vegetarian options: No food served here. Dietary restrictions: No food provided. Kid-friendliness: Youngsters are welcome during the day, but I think they prefer it to be over-18 after 6 pm. Wheelchair accessibility: Single step at the door...
Great beer as always. Emily and team are doing a fantastic job of running the pub in such difficult circumstances. The beer is as good as always and now the introduction of a ‘substantial meal’ is also very good and reasonably priced. The pub is bustling and busy but completely under control and a COVID safe environment. A real credit to the land lady and her staff. Thanks for another good evening.
This is a genuine real ale pub. We were warmly welcomed upon entering, and the bar staff was polite and very helpful. There was a roaring log fire that created a cozy atmosphere, and the locals were friendly and engaging in conversation. The selection of beers available at the bar was impressive and well-maintained. I definitely plan to return for more.

Great little pub, no longer serves food but I don't blame them, I bet its a massive effort! Came to watch F1, had a few drinks and the lovely lady working there brought my dog a bowl of water! Lovely staff, chilled local atmosphere, good prices!

If you visit Stokesley you must visit this bub. Great real ale bar, welcoming fire, fantastic ambience and Emily is a credit to the team and went over and above to be helpful. We look forward to returning.
I absolutely love this pub! They have excellent ale, the staff is friendly, it's dog-friendly, and the beer garden is a sunny haven.
