I have visited this pub on several occasions, at different times and on different days. Generally, on my evening visits, it is usually a bit of a scrum to get into the pub and to the bar, as it is very popular with the locals and therefore on a par with most of the others I have visited around the country over the years. If you're going in for a few drinks, then generally good value for money and choice, but generally a little slow getting served as there aren't enough front of house staff, although this is again typical of most Wetherspoons. I just popped in for a pint on my way back from somewhere, one 'Spoons is much the same as another and the Doom Bar is almost always perfect but I just wanted to drop in a short 'review ' as two things wound me up regarding the service. Firstly, the young guy that served me (about 13:00? was one of the most miserable people I 've ever had serve me who wasn 't actively rude. He has a lot to learn about customer service; I really don 't want a false smile and an American style 'Have a nice day, now! ' but actually speaking to the customer might help. Having visited fairly regularly over the last 20 or so years at the moment this place is very good. The general quality of the food and presentation is good value for money. The staff always are friendly and welcoming even when they're having a testing day. For a number of years it wasn't as good but it seems to have got over that phase. Keep up the good work. Thank you

We've eaten a few times in the Willy Wig, it's what you expect from a Spoons. Went for the spicy meat feast pizza with extra chilies. the pizza looked great, see photo, but it was a bland as bland can be, all you could taste was the tomato base, i ate 4 of the chilis at once, nothing, if you're going to say it's spicy then make it spicy. Very disappointing.
Went for breakfast with a friend, found tables and chairs clean bar service was good we were looked after by Sarah who bought our food and drinks she must have the biggest smile in wigston looked after us great can not fault the breakfast or drinks great value for money will visit again soon

My first visit to this Witherspoon's pub. Pleasant atmosphere. Varied and hot food. Good value for your money. Would recommend it for an inexpensive lunch with friends

Went for breakfast with my son. Food was good and stayed hot after forgetting to get sauces. Staff levels seemed a bit low but we were served quickly.
nice breakfast this morning. Cheap and cheerful. Toast was a little cold but everything else was perfect.
