The atmosphere is delightful. However, the checkout process is quite unusual and doesn't accommodate the large number of customers effectively. To browse the merchandise areas, you have to weave around the cash register, which can be inconvenient. My husband ordered scalloped potatoes and ham, but both dishes were only lukewarm. I enjoyed a delicious turkey and Swiss sandwich along with some fantastic potato fries, although the dipping sauce left me feeling quite unwell afterward. We recognize that this is a popular spot and has always been a favorite of ours. I'm glad to hear that it's receiving some much-needed upgrades.
The prices are reasonable, and the service is somewhat friendly, but the desserts left much to be desired. My husband was looking forward to the Banana Cream pie, but after just a few bites, he deemed it inedible. I tried the Cherry Cheese danish and couldn’t even finish one bite—it was dry, lacked filling, and tasted stale. The Banana Bread was passable, but not enough to warrant a return visit. It was dry, the flavor was underwhelming, and it was overly sweet without any real banana flavor (I know "bananaie" isn't a word, but you understand).
This is a wonderful spot to visit if you’re in need of home decor, furniture, or groceries for an event or the weekend! I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the selection of gifts and garden items. I ended up purchasing some decor, a variety of prepared salads (the beet salad is outstanding!), gluten-free baked goods, and various freezer and pantry items. If you’re gluten-free, you’ll find plenty of options here! Be sure to set aside enough time to explore the entire building, and start with the upstairs if you plan to grab groceries.
What a wonderful surprise! This shop is lovely and offers a fantastic selection of meats, cheeses, desserts, as well as fresh and frozen foods, along with pantry staples and some unique imported items. Don’t forget to explore the furniture and gift items upstairs. I noticed there’s a small café, but it wasn’t serving food during my visit, so I’ll have to return to try that another time. I absolutely love this place! It's very warm and inviting, with delicious bread and a great selection of European specialties, especially Dutch dishes. The staff is friendly and always has a smile on their faces. Despite being a busy venue, they ensure that every customer is well taken care of. I enjoy visiting here and always end up getting more than I expected!
