All of the other reviews are spot on about this lovely place!! We like to try new spots to eat that are not chains and this one came up with amazing reviews so decided to try it! The inside reminds me of a cute cafe you?d find up north. The man working was extremely friendly and helpful. Offered lots of suggestions and ways to customize our food to make it delish! My husband got the Cubano and truly, it was one of the best I?ve ever tried. I subbed a few things to make my wrap into a buffalo chicken wrap and it was great! This place has the freshest everything at pretty much the best prices around. I work and live about ten minutes away and check pretty much every day to see what exciting specials they have for that day. Love that the sandwich and soup are are constantly cycling specials so everything is exciting when you see it pop up. Best part is, the owner is awesome. It feels good to support a fellow small business especially. Just got done with a godfather sandwich in restaurant just a little mini date with the wife and it was absolutely perfect. Only way I'll stop going is if i move out of state

Holy smokes, this place is AMAZING! I just had the best sandwich I think I?ve ever had. Order the Cubano, it?s fantastic. And where else are you going to get a cubano? I love the vibe here, too. Their pork is from a local shop and so is their soda. I had the ?Special? soda on Doug?s recommendation and it was just like a bomb pop popsicle, how he put it, but even better. Our group of seven was very pleased with our meals, which included a variety of meaty sandwiches, wraps, and hearty salads. The restaurant was charming, featuring high-quality meats and fresh produce, as well as other local products (including take-home bacon!) and board games. The best sandwiches in town! My wife and I have been residents of the neighborhood for years, and we only recently decided to give The Winking Rooster a try. It only took one visit for us to get hooked! We wish we had discovered it sooner! Everything we've tried has been fantastic, but we particularly love the Cubano, Pulled Pork, and Pastrami sandwiches.

My husband and I stopped here while passing through the Twin Cities for Christmas, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. This small, family-run restaurant exudes warmth and kindness, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The freshly prepared soup and sandwiches were absolutely delicious. Plus, the owner is quite a character! I highly recommend this place!

What a great place to pick up a quick breakfast sandwich or of course a real sandwich for a decent price over the lunch hour. Diverse staff that always have something nice to say and have had pleasant conversations with the owner. They pick local and veteran supporting brands. Definitely ordering box lunches for the office from here going forward.

The meatball sandwich with marinara was amazing! Doug is fantastic, and this cozy family restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere. I can’t wait to return and try the club sandwich!
