Close to caravan site where we were staying, had a bit of a fancy for a local beer, not had one for years...Visited early evening had a pint or so of Swordfish, would recommend, checked out what food was available. And visited the following evening for meal and a pint. The burgers were fantastic, very good portions. Fairly priced. Staff very friendly and hospitable, up for some leg pulling. Enjoyed our evening and will definitely revisit next time we are down that way.
Visited a couple of times whilst staying nearby. They have the friendliest of staff, super efficient and welcoming despite it being very busy. (Would say booking is essential, especially at the weekend. Enjoyed a delicious meal a good choice including a specials board. Not just your average ‘pub grub’ freshly prepared and beautifully presented. So lovely to sit and enjoy a 6X in a Wiltshire pub once more! Thank you!

Staff handled our large party of adults and children with enthusiasm. Even though the place was packed, food arrived in good time and was very good. A good traditional pub. The only criticism is that it could do with a little bit of smartening up as the decor is a bit tired. Reserva una mesa ahora
Really enjoyed our meal- two nights in a row as we were staying nearby. Good service and welcoming. Excellent food selection for both vegetarians and meat eaters. Thank you we loved the food and will be back- only sorry we could not have a roast on Sunday x
Great country pub with campsite behind. Went there on Friday evening and the food and service were so good that we booked for the following evening. Had bacon chop the first night and a massive fish and chios the following evening .
Walked up from the canal for a quick lunch. Excellent friendly service, great local beers, and lovely chunky sandwiches. Just what we needed after a hard morning working through the locks.
Such a lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly and helpful. Food very good and went above and beyond for the person who needed a gluten free meal in our group Would highly recommend Reserva una mesa ahora
Sunday lunch was tasty. I had pork. So tender, juicy, mmmm. A side portion of cauliflower cheese, yum! A great visit, would come here again. THE LEMONADE WAS GREAT TOO!
