Toku Modern Asian

Had a 4:00 pm reservation and was seated on time. There were barely any people dining inside, a couple of tables in the front area. An older gentleman came over and asked about drinks, which was water only. 10 minutes went by, still no water or anyone that came to the table. Another waiter (who I recognized from past experiences that were not the best of service), whispers a curse word “f as ” about the original server; I guess he had no choice but to take over to serve my table of 2, directed by the gentleman. I asked if everything was okay, and he proceeded to tell me yes, when clearly no. I had to ask what the specials were, as he rushed to take our order. He came back to ask if we got a rice dish when we did not. Everything came at once, except for toku fries. I asked for ketchup in advance because it is usually forgotten about, but then fries never showed up until the 3rd time asking another waiter. Toku has great dishes, however their service and quality of dining experience needs tremendous improvement and priority.

The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. This was date night so ambiance was important as well and Toku did not disappoint.
