This little eatery is located just steps from St. Paul's Hospital and Wall Centre, so it attracts a considerable clientele. I have eaten there a couple of times, just after the lunch rush, and found it a nice place for a bite and a break.Prices are good, portions are fairly generous, but the quality is not exceptional. I had a chicken 'rice bowl' that was very nice, but another time the BC Roll, salmon sushi/sashimi combo was really bland, and used farmed Atlantic salmon when wild sockeye is easily available at almost the same price.So no- they don't get high marks.
We were in the vicinity and when we started looking for something to eat, we were told to try this little restaurant. With my wife being a vegetarian, we were told that although its not much to look at, the food was pretty good. Well, what a pleasant surprise, the food was better than expected and we not only had our initial orders, we had seconds! Lovely outdoor seating area and very quiet quick service. If you are in the area and fancy a japanese quick bite, then this is the place to go.
Went with a group of three. Loved the place, despite it being so small. Great sushi and very friendly staff. The only thing is, one person in our party had to wait a while for their rolls, when the bento box came out first and got cold as we waited for the rolls to come out. Would've been nice if it all came out together, but everything else was just great!
When in Vancouver, often stay at Wall Centre and this location makes it perfect to enjoy delicious reasonabley priced fare. recommend the crispy shirmp roll and yam roll. Bento boxes also excellent. quick service. limited seating but does have small outdoor seating to enjoy as well.

Parents! Brought our 1 year old here and we're pleasantly surprised by the higher end high chair ( has a tray)! They were even kind enough to cook up some of our sashimi salmon for our little one to eat.Oh and the food was great:)
When i lived at the Wall Centre my elevator would open up to the back door to this place. They have good food for decent prices. The seafood bento is tasty. If i'm in the area i eat here
Basic venue, but good prices. The seafood bento was particularly good value. The sushi bento was slightly less impressive. Quick service, complimentary green tea, which was a nice touch.
Quick and efficient but also very good, fresh sushi! Order at the counter and sit down. The price is unbelievable while still maintaining a high quality.

I eat at Tokyo Joe at least once a week. I really like their combos especially combo G. Their sashimi are quite fresh and it's not pricy.
Always get the "box E" which has a great selection of hot and cold items at a fair price. Always friendly and quick service.
