Host sat the 4 of us at smallest table with chairs while other people with only groups of 2 people got the big booths with long tables. When we ordered our food server was very rude and expected us to move dishes around our small table to make room. Note we barely ordered any dishes compared to what others order at a buffet. There was no room at our table, when food came we held our little bowls or plates in our hands to eat. Never got a refill on our drinks. Server never came back around to check for anything. Another server came and gave us our bill to pay before we even got all our dishes. Alright we get it...you want us to be done quickly. The cost was ridiculous and service was bad. Idk...
Food is always good here for AYCE. Selection is standard for most AYCE, but they do have a few other kitchen special items that other spots such as a Kyoto does not have. Some of those items are: salt and pepper shrimp (so yummy and always fresh note: it typically is deep fried with the shell on) roast duck (this is a hit or miss on flavor sometimes the pieces are way too fatty with bones and fat) We did a few rounds of food, so some of the photos show what we ordered. Absolutely awful. I frequent Kyoto for all you can eat sushi but wanted to branch out and try something new for my boyfriend's birthday. Boy was that a mistake. The fish was room temperature or warmer. 2 of the rolls we ordered had a strong fishy taste that was off putting. We tried one piece of each roll and couldn't eat any more. None of the rolls were amazing and to be honest I'm worried I'm going to get sick from the room temperature fish. Service was slow.
