Tom and his family, along with the staff, are all cheerful, courteous, friendly, and very accommodating. The fruits and vegetables are incredibly fresh. Chef Ellie prepares mouthwatering salads, main courses, and the best desserts around. They also offer a deli featuring sizable sandwiches, salads, wraps, and paninis. Additionally, their attention to detail has saved me countless hours of work by ordering their prepared meals. Tom also has a selection of delightful gourmet foods and sauces. And let's not forget about the plants! Everything at Tom's is top-notch. I absolutely adore this hidden gem in Westfield, and I think you will too.
the freshest produce! at first i thought pricey but paying a little more for big fresh produce is well worth it; huge sweet firm strawberries, giant sweet oranges unblemished, huge thick bright green asparagus, big sweet firm blueberries, the deli dept is very unique with their daily offerings of homemade prepared hot foods like lasagna and baked ziti great fresh custom made sandwiches their choice of imported pasta and sauces fresh bread
Without a doubt, this place offers the freshest and best cold cuts in the area—there's nowhere else we go. The salads and other products are always incredibly fresh. Their catering service is exceptional, and the chef has a level of creativity that always impresses. The charming small-town atmosphere, along with Tom the Green Grocer's friendly service, is what keeps me coming back week after week.

Absolutely love this little gem nestled in Scotch Plains. Nice staff, tasty sandwiches and plenty of fine foods to take out. It’s on the pricey side but worth the visit. Check out the beautiful trees, plants, and flowers out front. All for sale.
Local, family-owned. Fresh produce, pastas, Italian drinks, etc. MUST GET FRSH MADE PIES. APPLE and CHERRY are my favorites! Sandwiches are ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and you can customize. Friendly service.

Always a pleasure to visit. If they dont have a product ask they'll order for you. They offer an excellent assortment of pantry snack items both vegan non vegan.
