We 've eaten at Tom Yum Koong in Medford twice now, and have been very pleased both times. The food is just-right Thai spicy, the vegetables are very fresh, and the staff is very willing to accommodate vegans. When we asked about ingredients in one of the meals, the waitress quickly checked with the chef to be sure. The soup we ordered was made with a veggie broth, all of the curry dishes have a tofu and vegetables option, and there are a number of other tofu dishes on the menu. This place is over the road from my house and is a nice option to have, but I prefer to places where vegan is better understood (Yak Yeti or better, to all-vegan True Bistro, both in East Somerville . While it is true that Tom Yum Koong has many tofu and vegetable options, there are no vegetarian marks and they do not seem to understand the word vegan, so I felt nervous when eating there that they are not the care I want to ensure that my food is not prepared in the same pan as their many fish-shrimp-based dishes or that their sauces are totally vegan. I've ordered delivery from them using Grubhub a number of times. They are usually either prompt or early, food is delicious, and their tofu is prepared like they know what they're doing. I found their crispy tofu to have way too much breading for my liking and their tofu teriyaki is a tad bland, but their noodle dishes never disappoint. I'm a frequent customer! I ordered the delivery of grubhub several times. they are usually either fast or early, eating is delicious, and their tofu is prepared as if they know what they are doing. I found her crispy tofu to have much too much brot for my lust and her tofu teriyaki is a tacky gland, but her nude dishes never disappointed. I'm a frequent customer!
