Came here after checking into our hotel, as our first night dinner in Adelaide. We wanted sake and we're feeling Japanese so we walked up the main drag along the water until we found this place. I looked up the reviews and noticed it wasn't high but we decided to give it a shot anyway. We sat outside which is ok, a bit noisy as the table next to us had about 6 people who were clearly drinking. In the words of the great Samurai.... K.C. & The Sunshine Band........'Please, Please Dont Go.' Ok....so there's an extra 'Please' and KC isnt really a Samurai, but you get the point. Pleasant staff. Drafty front door and well...it went downhill from there. Vastly overpriced food with an exceptionally looooooooooooooooooooong wait for the food to arrive. In fairness, staff were polite and food acceptable. However, it was a case of 'spot the chicken' in the chicken tyriaki. In fact I was so desperate for chicken in the.....errrrrrr...(and here's the BIG Clue.......) CHICKEN dish...that my wife had to give me some of hers. Likewise I donated some of my noodles to her. The only reason of 1.0 rating is app not allowed negative rate. This place is the worst restaurant I have ever experienced in last 7 years. We was hoping to have a nice, fancy dinner with friends in Boxing Day. But this place totally ruined our holiday night. A simple Asian fired rice, some vegetable leaves cost us $100 per people plus 15 percent public holiday surcharge! And all these awful food takes one and half hours waiting!!! Let me be frank, the only reason this place got 1.0 is because of the local wine we ordered which was great.. I eat out nearly every night and I am in Adelaide because in my opinion it is  the best food and wine city in Australia......However Tomiko is the exception to the rule, it is easily the worst value for money in Australia,,,,$86 for Waygu beef!! First of all they set the table with the 2 cent , snap off, chop sticks, the type you get in the local Chinese lunch deli, the fried rice was slightly burnt rendering it  in-edible. as for the Tepanyaki Waygu beef....ordinary..at best!!! Will start with the positives- nice staff. Friendly and attentive. Then the food- oh wow, such a let down. We had purely sushi and for almost $5 a roll, a ten cent piece diameter and literally no flavour, a big let down. Used to some Mayo in the rolls but these were very dry, despite waiting over half an hour in a very empty restaurant. Friday night as well. Won't return which is a shame. Wish we could have seen it if they ever ran the train, which they told me they don't! No one wants the sushi perhaps and I can see why!

Very nice location, very good table service and staff were very friendly and attentive. We had the 10 course degustation menu. Food seemed to come out very quickly almost too quickly to keep up. Food was fresh, flavoursome and well presented. Kitchen staff were very lovely and busy in the open kitchen. Very generous amounts of food the 10 course menu was so filling.

Have set here for more than 75 minutes, only thing came up is the dishes from the set. None od the main corse came up yet. Price are in the premium level. But we did not receive any premium service or food quality, absolutely disappointed. And now we are waiting for the desert, i would deeply appreciate if it could come out in next 30 minute Reserva una mesa ahora

Disappointing disappointing disappointing. Paid for the premium price but did not receive premium quality. When everyone around are talking about their meal, we, group of 8, still waiting for our entree. I would not recommend or entering this restaurant again. So disappointing

This is 60 dollar rubbish i have waited for 90 mins. Steak should have been medium rare but it all turns out midium and cold. Not even freshly prepared. Worst experience in Australia.什么tmd屌餐厅 吃完一肚子火 结果服务员帐还算不清楚 这也能开餐厅？铁板烧烧个200g牛排要你麻痹一个半小时
