The service was practically nonexistent. Our party of 11 was automatically charged a 20% tip, and as a result, the server did not treat us well. They did not bother to check if our food was satisfactory, and one burger was undercooked. There are plenty of other dining options available so I would not return to this restaurant where the service was lacking.
Only come to DC one week a year and this used to be a go to. Today's experience was horrible especially having brought friends to whom I had bragged about Tonic. It was a pitiful experience from beginning to end with the lone slightly bright spot being the food. I don't believe I will be returning, I'm sad to say.
It was a good time overall, and great service. Our server was extremely helpful and patient as we had a lot of trouble with the ordering/payment app. Thank you!

Friendly young lady behind the bar, but totally clueless about the type of IPA that were available on draft.
This place is classic. A dive for both State employees and GWU students, great value and atmosphere.
