I had seen some pretty good reviews for this restaurant on Tripadvisor and having already eaten at the Gasthof Hirschen in Regensdorf thought I would try here. As other contributors had noted, the service can be very slow. There seemed enough of them about but they were all rushing about doing something not related to serving customers. We ate a la carte as opposed to from the buffet and the food was not great. Not truly awful but really not that good and certainly nowhere near the cost charged, even for Switzerland. I didn't stay here in the Hotel. I suspect that the regular buffet is probably the better bet.
Spent 14 days at the Trend hotel in Jan -13 and will for sure return at a later occation.-The staff at the hotel is exceptional friendly, and really makes you feel well.-I was upgraded to a suite on the top floor, and this was very functional as I did work from the room from time to time.-A bike was available for me during the whole period. This was very convinient as my project was taking place 2,5 km away from the hotel.-The bar in the basement is a smokers place, and beeing a non-smoker, the smell from your clothes after a visit is not very good.-Direct train to Zurick is only a 5 min walk away.

there are few hotel restaurants that delight my palate. but here definitiw delicious food. for me alone or for a couple with woman more for the high-time day. the Smoker grill is fantastic! Supplements were ok and there was also very tasty salate, no warning. the only thing that counted was that meat! I would have had two moats, I would have both filled! top tip for business dinner or another special occasion. personal was also very nice, in drinks it had never missed.
