A lovely little pub with a warm welcome and fresh, tasty food. Pleasant surroundings and a friendly atmosphere. Regular (popular) quiz night on Monday. A wide selection of real ales too. Plenty of comfortable seating available. Although food is not officially available as Monday evening is quiz night, the manager (Mo) was very accommodating with tasty sandwich and hot, freshly cooked chunky chips.

Found this place on Yelp from the highway. Decided to pull off and drive the 4 miles. We didn't want fast food. Pleasantly surprised. Food was great. Very friendly atmosphere. Right next to a lock where we got to see a boat pass trough which was a bonus. Recommend for pub food and atmosphere.
