Tortilla Press Cantina Merchantville

I visited Tortilla Press Cantina on Cinco de Mayo, and it wasn't my first time at this spot. Despite the bustling crowd, the ambiance was decent, and I managed to find a seat at the bar. I started with the guacamole and chips, which came in a generous portion and tasted fresh and delicious. For the main course, I ordered the birria tacos, which included three well-seasoned tacos, rice and beans, salsa verde, and consommé with cilantro and onions on the side. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. To drink, I had a fresh mango margarita and a frozen pomegranate margarita. Do not get their margaritas. It's just juice like a Capri sun. You can drink 5 of then and feel nothing. They barely put any liquor in them. Ive eaten here few times to keep giving them a chance. The only really good food here are the tacos and burritos. Other than that, the other food is a miss. I love Spanish food, and the food here just doesn't do it. It is not very authentic Spanish food. Last time I ate here, I got tres leches and it was horrible! Not at all what tres leches should be. It was DRENCHED in whipped cream! It should have a nice even layer! Not sloppily thrown on top. I can’t believe this place has so many good reviews. We ordered the chips and queso and the peanut bbq sliders. Both were extremely disappointing. The food was luke warm and came out within 5 minutes of us placing the order. That was our first clue that it wasn’t going to be very good. All of the flavors were very underwhelming. We could’ve had the same thing, if not better from the freezer section at Trader Joe’s. Unfortunately we will not be back.

We came for Brunch is a Drag and were NOT disappointed! This was our first time, and I had a group of 8 celebrating a milestone birthday. From beginning to end, the service was great, the food was amazing and the entertainment was stellar! We had such a blast that I 've been telling everyone about it because it was so much better than we hoped it would be! We WILL be back Reserva una mesa ahora

One of my favorite places to eat. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. The margaritas are perfect. The staff is attentive and friendly. At the end of our meal Chef Mark even came out to ask how our evening was. Always a pleasure to dine here

First time here and we loved it! Food was delicious. Had chicken enchiladas and a strawberry margarita. Music was great and our server Carlos was super friendly! Owner came by to check on us. A nice spot and we will be back!

This is a great little spot. Nothing overly fancy, but good food and service. We frequent this place often and recommend giving it a try. You'll be glad you did!
