First time at Tosca, reserved easily on open table. My boyfriend and I were going to celebrate my birthday. Reservation was for 7pm and we were sat promptly toward the left of the restaurant and it was LOUD! Difficult to get around all the people milling around the bar back there. Our server was nice and attentive and answered the couple of questions we had about the pasta dishes. We ended up ordering one of their specials, the Caprese salad as an appetizer and were very disappointed. It was like one hunkin half of a tomato in the middle of the plate with a couple of other random wedges and some cherry tomatoes, TONS of grated parm but barely any fresh mozzarella, just a few shreds. Recently moved back to the area, was heading for another restaurant when we passed Tosca. Remembered how good it was, not disappointed. As good as ever. Great ambiance, food and martinis.
