Italian Twist for Brunch • We have been wanting to try this spot but have not been in town to go. Well, we did Saturday Brunch and would absolutely come back. Small house looking space, greeted with the bar at the door and seating to the right. I asked how long it’s been open and 26 years! I see why too • We got the Benedict, Deluxe Grit Bowl and The Godfather Omelette. These each came with a side of either potatoes or grits. I cannot speak for the potatoes because we all three got grits and they were the best I’ve had. Very creamy, smooth and not dry at all. The staff here is not very friendly unless you are one of the regulars. Regulars get told hi and welcome with brief conversation where new customers are ignored and left standing there for long periods of a time without being acknowledged. The layout of the restraunt also makes it difficult to move around to enter or leave. The service is also rather slow. The food was just okay
The staff is super nice. The food is priced well, and it was super good. I had the lasagna, which normally I'm worried about, but they had the perfect mixture of everything. A friend of mine with me had the shrimp and grits, and she said it's one of the best she ever had.
