We should have known better when we saw the word karaoke in this restaurant. Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against it. In fact I love them. But let's face it, food isn't usually great at a karaoke joint. But our beloved Japanese joint, Zenya was closed for renovations so we thought we'd try this place. Expensive mistake! Greeted by a woman (possibly the owner or manager) who was busy on her phone rudely ushered as along with one of the staff to a table. Orders are done via a touchscreen tablet, which was fine and our orders came out surprisingly quick. The mochi desserts at this restaurant are delicious: fresh, soft, and melt in your mouth! I highly recommend trying them. They also have a green tea soft serve ice cream that is not watered down. The interior design of the place is lovely, and they offer themed karaoke rooms such as Hello Kitty, One Piece, Slam Dunk, and Doraemon, as well as a set that can be combined for larger groups. The group deals for karaoke are great, with a minimum spend for food and karaoke, and you can even order food inside the rooms. The staff at the front (where the desserts are) are very friendly and kind. I can't wait to bring my friends here to try the food and karaoke!
Had the so called "lunch special" which I believe was apparently ramen noodle. I can't describe it in words except it wasn't even remotely close to standard japanese cuisine. It tasted something like chinese noodles that you mix up on a sunday afternoon at home. Speaking of chinese, the staff here spoke mandarin to one another which leads me to believe this restaurant is isn't korean or japanese owned. The service was ordinary, staff look disinterested and the atmosphere wasn't quite there. Would I return? NO. Would I recommend this? NO. There are a handful of other japanese restaurants in eastwood that offer more and for good value.
Pass by this restaurant a few times when we visited Eastwood Peking Seafood Restaurant. My family and I thought we give it a try but it was disappointing. Staff were not friendly and my order never came.Even after telling the waitress and showing her our receipt, she got it wrong by bringing us something else. Had to cancel my order as my family had already finished their food and mine was still not served. Had to leave the restaurant hungry that night and settled for instant noodles at home. Food was nothing to shout about. You get better food elsewhere with the price you have to pay.Our first visit and surely it's also the last.

The customer service and problem-solving skills of the manager at this restaurant are top-notch. During our visit for a Chinese New Year celebration with our large family, we initially worried about fitting all 20+ of us comfortably. However, the manager combined two rooms to accommodate us all. Despite some confusion with the food ordering system due to the merged rooms, the manager handled the situation professionally and courteously. We were pleased with the resolution, which demonstrated the restaurant's commitment to customer satisfaction over profit. We would definitely return for this level of service alone.
I have visited this restaurant multiple times and have not experienced any problems. During my last visit, I came with a large group of friends and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They were able to find us seats at the last minute, as we arrived after a wedding. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I would definitely return again. I also appreciate the convenience of being able to place orders using the touch screen.
Honestly, this restaurant is just plain awful. The food is pricy for what it's worth. Only the salad was ok, and even it was too salty. All the food tasted quite salty. Perhaps their karaoke is better (never tried) and you get to at least experience a modern ordering system with iPads. The interior is also quite nice.
I credit this place with the worst dining experiences I've had in Eastwood. The pride, care, and quality synonymous with Japanese cannot be found here. The food and service is not remotely close to authentic Japanese. The one saving grace is the Japanese beer was imported - thankfully.

Fun little restaurant with iPad menu from which children enjoyed ordering. Was good for a quick and simple lunch. Booths are good for small families or couples and some tables have a good view of the karaoke screen. Not much singing goes on at lunchtime though!
