To start off, I've lived in Florence for over ten years, and during that time, I have not found any meal at this particular Greek restaurant that I enjoyed more than those from other Greek establishments in town. However, that is beside the point. This evening, my wife requested that I pick up something for her on my way home from work. She attempted to call in the order, knowing that the restaurant would be closing soon. Their closing time is listed as 10 pm, and it was around 9:35 pm when she made several calls. My food arrived quickly and was served piping hot. The fries were delicious, and the gyro was decent, though the meat had the appearance and taste of something mass-produced, with square-cut pieces and slightly dry edges, hinting that it might have been previously frozen. However, the spices were quite close to what I expected. The flatbread it was wrapped in was acceptable but also had a somewhat factory-made taste. Overall, my meal was satisfactory for a local family restaurant. The consistent flow of customers during my visit, between lunch and dinner, indicates that they have good food and a loyal local following. Got the chicken gyro and some extra Tzatziki sauce and the side salad. The pita bread was soft and delicious and very flavorful. The chicken was nothing short of amazing! It was tender, juicy, and perfectly done. The salad was fresh and had plenty of feta cheese on it. Prices were reasonable and the waitstaff are very friendly and polite. The interior of the restaurant is clean and comfortable and had a diner feel. Prices are way more reasonable than you would expect based on the quality of the food. The Townhouse is THE only place in Florence to get an authentic gyro and their wonderful sauce. Highly recommend!

I really enjoy the Townhouse. While the staff at the counter can be a bit curt at the intercom, and they’ve gotten my order wrong the last couple of times, the food is consistently fantastic. However, the car runners are incredibly polite and are the most customer-friendly people you could encounter. Quite possibly the worst Gyro I have ever had. The meat lamb was incredibly thin and crunchy in some spots and chewy like jerky in others. Tzatziki was wattery and then it only had fine diced onions and tomatoes. Maybe something else here is good butI expect a geek restaurant to make a decent gyro.

This was ok. No issues other than the prices are a bit much. The food is really good. Staff is friendly. Making a left turn during lunch is difficult as folks from the right turn and get in line in front of you. I stayed on Irby while 4 cars turned andthe line was in the road.

The food is decent, but the customer service is quite poor. I won’t be returning to this restaurant due to that. The girl at the window seems more interested in her phone than ensuring I have everything I need, and this has happened more than once.
