I like to write positive reviews. I rarely slam, and never without reason. This place was stunningly bad. The staff seemed to take a strange delight in making us wait for menus, food, and especially for the check. 45 minutes of watching someone refill salt...and pepper shakers.? That was just sadistic. Yes, I’m very familiar with the local customs, and I get it that the pace is different. That’s not what is going on here. Hey, the pizza and salads are fine, so if you have 3 hours to kill, by all means, stop by. But you may end up feeling like you’re hanging out with the extras from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

Once of the good things to come out the awful floods last year, was the revamping of the canal side. No more cars and plenty of space to sit and watch the canal and the rest of the world go by. Had the menu du...midi. Starters served quickly. All OK. Partner enjoyed his Tuna. Main courses, again OK. I had the pork, bit tepid, however, potatoes were delicious. Partner had a creme brulee dessert. It was enormous, most unexpected. Serving staff, were a bit oblivious at times. Had to ask twice for the bill.

Was very happy we chose this unassuming canalside restaurant as opposed to Le Quai or Poissonnerie Moderne which we had tried before. Very good main dish Involtini (spinach-stuffed veal ballotine wrapped in ham and cheese). Not so impressed with Tuna Tartare but friends liked their...frogs legs starter! Nice waiting staff.

great sewer side restaurant on trèbes lunch for 4 was really delicious and great portions and good worth. watching the boats, made it a great location

good eating and very helpful staff worth a visit. good canalside location highly recommended if they are the channel du midi
