Travellers Rest - Reserva de mesa

The restaurant offers a great selection of food clearly explained on the menu, all cooked perfectly. The staff are friendly and polite, and there is ample parking available. It is easily accessible from Huddersfield or Dewsbury, with exceptional disabled access. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Outside seating is available, and children and dogs are welcome. The toilets are clean, and the restaurant has a lovely countryside setting with rustic decor.

First visit for our group of 8 dog and I have to say it was brilliant, our regular Wednesday family food club were made very welcome by the staff, the food was excellent, the atmosphere is extremely comfortable and the prices are bellow average of what our group has paid in other places we visit. We will definitely be returning and next time plan to stay for the pub quiz, a big thank you to all the staff it was nice to see happy faces at their work.

We were staying at an Airbnb down the road. This was the closest place. We had a tasty meal that was reasonably priced. The best part was the warm and friendly staff. From booking on the phone to every interaction, they were so friendly. It felt like a 'local ' and yet as outsiders we were welcome. It would be great to sit outside if not for the rain!

Great local pub. We went for a special occasion and all had Sunday Roast. Food was lovely. They even brought out extra veg for us. We had one person in a wheelchair and this was accommodated. Nice atmosphere and staff were great! Attentive and efficient. Great dessert choices too. Hard to choose which to have. Reserva una mesa ahora

The Travs is our go to place for any celebration! Jan and her team are always so helpful and cannot do enough for you! The food was fresh and tasted amazing as usual. Thank you so much Jan for always making our celebrations here extra special! See you again soon! Xx

This restaurant has a beautiful view and offers great value. We tried the light lunch menu which included soup, a main course, and ice cream for only £6.49! The staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place.

Went for Sunday lunch, the food was lovely. Staff very friendly. The atmosphere in the pub was good. It’s a few years since our last visit and still a lovely place to eat. Won’t be leaving long till our next visit.

We booked for a group of 11 people for a Sunday roast meal and the service was absolutely fantastic.
