My friend and I came on a public holiday which meant there was an additional surcharge which I can understand for staff rates, if we actually received any kind of service. You order on a QR code, not with staff which is fine but you...don't have any option to put notes or ask questions so I got up and asked a staff member if I could have bacon on the side, the answer was no, we can't make any changes to the food at all and the manager is really strict about that. Ok, so I order anyway plus surcharge plus a coffee (friend orders at the same time). Had to track down a staff member to ask for table water (no water station). Coffees come (which were fine), my friend's food comes which is the mos...
Well where do I start, my friend asked for Jam and toast and eventually got ham minutes after getting the toast. Then we asked where’s the jam minutes later it turned up. Nothing like cold toast at that price. But it doesn’t stop...there as for a large coffee and got a medium, I was going to send it back but given the experience so far, I thought better of it. My other friend asked for Eggs Benne with no spinach and with ham, ended up getting eggs on toast with Benne sauce. Now let’s start on the eggs they were poached within and inch of hard boiled. No split bill but that’s not an issue in the end.
Went for dinner this evening. As I have an allergy to rocket asked if the salad had rocket added to it the reply was “what is rocket”. First sign we should have left. Ordered a glass of Chardonnay which was undrinkable when I told the...waitress she took it away and gave us the wine list. As it was extremely limited I went across the road and bought a bottle of wine. When the bill arrived not only were we charged for the glass of wine I couldn’t drink we were also charged corkage for the bottle I brought. There are too many good eateries in Coogee to bother with this one.
There was a fuss about getting another drink when my glass was cracked. We paid for a jug, first glass I poured in was broken. A chip and a cracked line all the way down. The staff were perplexed as to why we wanted...to replace not just the glass but the full drink I hadn’t yet consumed. They also provide plastic straws- there is a beach right there. Set a better example! Forward thinkers should only own cafes in this day and age. There is no more time for such stupidity when our oceans are full of plastic. Learn! Make the switch! It is shameful.

I have never left a negative review at a restaurant but I have never had such a poorly served chicken schnitzel in my life I ordered a chicken Snitty with vegetables which in any place in the world would give you either roast potatoes ..mash and mixed vegetables. I received two thin paper over cooked Snittys that were so thin I think they cooked them for at least days in the bottom of the frying pan. So thin and crispy. And a couple of bits of broccoli on the side as vegetables. Staff were nice but the food was worth about
Not THE worst meal I have ever had but definitely up there! Thé hollandaise tasted of coconut oil. The smoked salmon was dry. The muffin wasn’t toasted. The mushrooms were canned and the hash browns were frozen. For almost for breakfast I won’t be...returning The coffee was good though
The food and atmosphere are very good. I enjoy the meal anytime I eat there. The staff are quick to deliver, but I had trouble getting attention when I wished for a second drink. But the good does outway the negative. It is a good...choice for meals any time of the day.
Terrific all day restaurant which is licensed we had breakfast and all meals were beautiful and generous in serve nice coffee and freshly squeased juices round off a good start to the day all the wait staff were friendly and attentive highly recomend

Service was okay Food was okay so I would rate it an okay destination. It is in the heart of Cogee on a very busy street so give yourself time to find a car park.
