The reviews for Turn seem quite mixed (and the restaurant was only half full on the Saturday evening when we visited) so I wanted to weigh in with our recent experience. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our server was quick to check in and offer us a drink. The service was friendly and efficient, our drinks and appetizers came out quickly. My husband and I have talked about trying Turn for a long time. We went on a Saturday night, and this was our first visit. We were underwhelmed. First, let me say their cocktails were great! Pricy, but really good. We ordered onion rings while we drank our cocktails. While tasty, they were not even hot. I should have sent them back but did not. I ordered the eggplant parmesan which was very good.(There are very few vegetarian options. My husband ordered the salmon and gave it a B-. The server was very nice but not at all attentive. Just tried Turn for the first time after they re-opened. The food was very good. The fried chicken is still outstanding and our friend had the meat loaf which he liked. The short rib was pronounced a little boring. But everyone LOVED the sweet potato fries with MAPLE(! dipping sauce. The onion rings were also really great! Usually I don't go for fried stuff, but all 3 were relatively light and truly a step or 2 above the normal version of those dishes. Pizza was good too. One of our group felt the ambience was not intimate enough and it did get noisy, but that just seems to be the trend these days. Service really needs to be improved. Tried it when it opened. Had problems then. Waited 2 years and tried again. Still poor. Brought appetizers and entries at same time. Dishes from wrong table kept arriving. Drinks slow. Wouldn't customize a drink on the menu (because premise) but come on, they have the bar right there with the best ingredients. Clearing was slow. Such potential, but just doesn't have it right.

Made reservation on Open Table for Wednesday 11/23, got to the restaurant and there was a sign on door, stating that they were closed for early Thanksgiving celebration. Would have appreciated if they updated their Open Table reservation system to reflect that, instead we wasted our time.
Friendly, accommodating staff. Good sliders, but cold onion rings (those were replaced with hot ones). Accompanying sauces were disappointing and off in taste. Nice presentation of all dishes.
It's easy to get to and park. The food is fairly expensive but it's good. I particularly like that you can sit outside at night and enjoy the weather. Service is friendly and quick.
The restaurant has improved greatly with new staff and management at the helm. The menu offers a good selection, the food was delicious, and the service was friendly.

Food was good and the right size portions. Noisy but happen to be the Warriors play off so not typical. Clean, service could have been alittle more attentive to us.
Mediocre service with mediocre food at medium to high prices, your typical Los Altos joint.
