To be honest, the food was disappointing. Indian cuisine usually offers much more flavor and enjoyment. We waited 45 minutes for our meal, and when it finally arrived, we had ordered two naans and two rotis but were not informed about what dishes were served. The server said she had brought everything, but she was quite rude and showed little respect for customers. Additionally, the plates were not clean, and the curries arrived before the rotis, which came much later. Overall, the service was poor, and the staff seemed indifferent to our needs. I wouldn’t recommend this place to travelers new to New York, as there are many better Indian restaurants in the city with excellent service.
I think it’s very to the restaurant where people are giving 1-3 star reviews. The food is extremely delicious, and I can put the prices and looks aside because it’s so extraordinarily good! It is not the kind of place I would go to dine in. It is not made for ambience. It is made purely to serve you deliciousness and that’s all I care about. If they hired someone to improve their look and marketing, it would be off the charts. But I think the owner prefers it to be a low key type of place. Also it’s a little pricier because let’s face it, this kind of food quality takes love and effort to make delicious. It’s worth the price.
Been going there since last 3 years. Babar (chef) prepares food fresh on order. I prefer ordering chicken Sikh kabab, tandoori chicken, kaju curry and any other veg or non vegetarian curries. He has be kind enough to adjust test to my liking. Prices have gone up recently but inline or less compared other nearby by indian style restaurants.
Ujala Kabab offers the most authentic Pakistani cuisine I've found in Jersey City since I arrived. Their goat karahi is outstanding, and the garlic naan is a must-have with any order. However, if you're ordering takeout, I recommend checking the contents of the packages to ensure your order is correct.

After my meal was delivered, the driver took a picture of me, which I found inappropriate. He should have taken a photo of the food package indicating that it was delivered instead of photographing me without my consent. I hope you will understand my concerns regarding this issue.
Come here only for the amazing delish food. If you are looking for ambience, views, seating, not for you. But if you are looking for straightforward authentic Pakistani food, knock here. Amazing biryani, curry and peshawari roti! Finally found a spot that does spicy food, spicy.
Always check your order before taking it away. I ordered two samosas, but they weren’t properly packed. They seem to push more food than necessary. Despite requesting non-spicy food for the kids, they packed spicy items. I wouldn’t recommend this place again.
The food here is simply exceptional—there's no competition. The Ujala special chicken is my top choice, and the rice pudding is incredible.

The biryani was too bad, it's was basically rice mixed with some sort of curry it wasn't even biryani in all reality… pathetic food
