The hand rolls were the worst part; the nori was rubbery, the avocado was starting to brown, and the fish tasted like it had been in the freezer for way too long. Similar to the hand rolls, the sushi overall lacked both color and flavor, as if everything was past its prime. The rice had no hint of sushi vinegar and was mushy, lacking freshness. Usually, I can eat 40-50 pieces of sushi on my own, but I could barely finish the 20 pieces we ordered due to my ruined appetite.
The service was also below par; the waitstaff simply plopped food in front of us without saying a word. They should really consider renaming this restaurant "Old-Mami."
Stumbled across this awesome restaurant on our way back from the Hamptons through Google reviews. Reasonably priced and excellent fresh sush, a rarity. The two brothers at the counter were pretty cool, funny, humble, and inviting! The only problem, if you like all you can eat: DO NOT!!! order the volcano roll. It will take up 95% of your stomach space, and then you have to pay the leftover surcharge, lol. The only other drawback was that they wanted to charge us extra for hot tea as it is considered a drink. Come on guys! But, Still worthy of 5 starsKid-friendliness: Kids loved it
If you’ve never had good sushi, you’d probably think this was the best place ever. However, anyone who has ever tasted true, high quality sushi, you’re in for a disappointment. The fish itself tastes old. The rolls are bland and all finished with the same store bought sauce. Also, don’t let the pictures on their iPad fool you… some things look nothing like what’s on the screen.Overall, it’s not the worst place out there. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is nice. The food/menu could really use a total revamp though.
I took my family there for lunch yesterday to celebrate my daughters birthday. The food was great up until they apparently decided we were done. As we tried ordering desert, they closed the tablets and brought the check. As we were a party of so many, they added the 18% which was fine but then requested additional gratuity. The whole situation was quite embarrassing. We paid and left then went to go get desert elsewhere. I would not reccommend this place for any group. We were a group of 10.

I would rate this place between 1 and 2 stars. We used to visit because of their good-value all-you-can-eat lunch special, but the servers have always been unfriendly. On our most recent visit, we encountered the same unpleasant service, but the quality of the sushi was also disappointing. One of the red snapper pieces I received looked unappetizing and crusty (see attached photo), and overall, the food wasn’t very good. We’ll need to find a better lunch special nearby.
This is one of my favorite places to eat on Long Island! The all you can eat sushi is fantastic. The pricing is amazing around $20 a person for all you can eat during lunch and a bit higher for dinner. You order the sushi on a tablet so it is super convenient and fast. The all you can eat includes all sorts of sushi, sashimi, rolls, appetizers, cooked options, and deserts. I highly recommend Umami Sushi!
This is the only all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant I choose to visit. The iPads make it incredibly convenient to track your orders. I've seen several comments about poor service, but that hasn't been my experience at all. I've dined here multiple times and received excellent service each time. The staff is also very understanding and accommodating when it comes to gluten allergies.
Since they have opened, they have cut back on everything you can eat fish, as well as increase the price. I would have been good with a price increase, but keep the same selection and quality. Was really shocked when I ordered red Snapper sushi and the fish was... Absolutely not back.

Absolutely disgusting from this place. I'll never go to this facility. Had a bite from her spy girl roll to find a clamp in the spicy tuna on the top. Completely unlived and disgusted.
