Ugh! I usually get the shrimp steak hibachi but wanted to try something different from a review I read earlier.I ordered Tenderloin steak bowl. The meat was grisly and the sauce was not good it had little flavor but kinda greasy tasting that transferred to the rice.My husband had the shrimp udon and said it was good. So this review is for my dinner only.Fed my pup the steak.
Don’t skip on this place, it’s a well kept gem. The food is always delicious and the prices are more than fair. I love having the hibachi bowls because there are no onions in their rice which is hard to find! I hope they never change! Tastes even better after a long day in the sun on the beach!
I crave this place all the time. If I could eat umi once a week, I totally would. Everything from the side ginger salads to their wide variety of sushi rolls down to their bowls and dinners. You really can't go wrong. Do yourself a favor and get yourself some of this delicious good food.

Not sure how this little gem has stayed off of everyone's radar nor do I have any clue why it's only rated 4.2! By far the best Japanese food I've had in Charleston- anywhere. Ever. Food and service are amazing!
10/10 great food at a reasonable price. Their lunch bowl/dinner bowl is by far my favorite menu item and I highly recommend it.Would recommend this restaurant to anyone
The kid who wears the Jimmy Buffett shirt and makes sushi is the bomb. Great family restaurant of hard working people. Wish we had more restaurants like this in Mt. P.
I ordered the teriyaki chicken and the chicken had very little teriyaki sauce, and the chicken was also cut in big chunks and dry I was very Reserva una mesa ahora
