It's not the first time we've been here and we still really like the place. They've gotten some new tables to replace the ones that were a little bit grody, so that's a big plus. The server, Evelyn, is everything you could want in a server. She's friendly, attentive and helpful and we love seeing her. The sushi is excellent. Great variety and fresh. And they don't pad it with too much rice. You won't be disappointed.
I liked most of the rolls but I felt like the roe on top was overpowering. The variety had larger eggs and it occasionally got stuck in my teeth leaving an unpleasant flavor. The service was very good but the food was sub par. We had bento boxes and we liked the beef teriyaki but the chicken katsu was bland, thin and looked like it had been cooked hours before. Even the spicy tuna rolls were bland and not at all spicy. It was so disappointing. Sadly I wouldn't recommend it with so many other great Japanese restaurants around.
