I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. I used to live in Atlanta, and Uncle Julio's was never our top choice, but we decided to give it a try this time. I ordered the large salad with added steak, and the beef was incredibly tender! The side dips were delicious as well. My friends ordered a variety of mixed drinks and really enjoyed them. I've traveled extensively and even lived in California, where Mexican cuisine is as authentic as it gets. Unfortunately, I found the food here to be quite bland, especially considering the premium prices. On the plus side, the bar and social scene are fantastic, and I would definitely return for Happy Hour or drinks anytime. The service was also commendable. It’s a shame the food didn’t meet expectations. The menu is somewhat limited; while the fajitas seemed to be their standout dish, many of the better options are priced between $30 and $40 or more. We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The food was fresh, the drinks were fantastic, and the chips and salsa were flavorful. We definitely intend to make this a regular stop every time we're in town. Next time, we plan to try the chocolate piñata. The manager, Romeo, was exceptional!
