Not as good as it used to be. It's not terrible, but it certainly falls short of its former excellence. The portion sizes were decent, which is a plus. Unfortunately, the pasta was overcooked and mushy. The mixed seafood special arrived in a broth that looked like diluted red sauce and had just as little flavor. We have several great dining options in our area, but we always find ourselves returning to this place because it truly ticks all the boxes. I recently relocated to Florida and hadn’t visited this restaurant in a while. Tonight, I decided to try their special: crab cake and scallops accompanied by an arugula salad and fresh mozzarella. It was absolutely exquisite! The crab cake was packed with crab meat, and the scallops were beautifully caramelized. Without a doubt, these were some of the best scallops I’ve ever tasted—perfectly caramelized, incredibly moist, and full of flavor. The bartenders here are fantastic, and they serve strong drinks! I highly recommend this place, but be prepared for a bit of a wait, as it’s clearly worth it. And I can't forget to mention the wonderfully friendly owner!
I visited this restaurant for an early dinner on a Friday evening and had an exceptional experience. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Vinnie, who was extremely friendly. I began my meal with the balsamic calamari, one of the specials, and it was absolutely delicious. I also sampled the scallops special, which were delightful, as well as the mahi-mahi—both cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. To finish, I enjoyed a pumpkin martini that was simply wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding food and service!
This is a fantastic local neighborhood restaurant. It can be a bit tricky to secure a table at times, but the effort is definitely worthwhile. The food is both delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff is incredibly accommodating. We've been visiting Vinnies for 30 years, and it never fails to impress—it's definitely my favorite place. The customer service is outstanding, and when they find out there's a Marine at the table, they treat him like royalty. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the owners are wonderful. By the way, you really made a young Marine's night last night before he headed back to base. Thank you!
