The hotel is on the outskirts of Flizmoos but you not have far to walk to get to the centre. Nice bar and lounge area with ample seating. The bar/waiting staff were wonderful, taking to time to have little conversation and recommend various things throught out our stay. The food, well, that was really rather good, varied menu with something for everyone.We were in the old wing, I think. The room was large and well proportioned and the changing area was really good for ski stuff. As per some of the other reviews, our bathroom was showing signs of wear and tear with a few cracked tiles. Chairs in room were coming apart in places.Slight odd electrics, in that you turn on the bathroom light and toliet fan comes on, turn on toilet light and toilet fan comes on? Matteress were thin, but comfortable. Generally the room was very hot.Wellness centre was good but, steam room was out of action for 2 days and the pool seemed to be constantly occupied by kids. Mian niggle, reception staff and MD of the restaurant. I appreciate that language can be direct but actions do not need to be so direct. I'm learning German and did try to converse but was shut down pretty quickly. I know there are difference between the German and Austrian language but it did may me think why bother. Let's just say I did not find reception very forthcoming with help or advise.

The restaurant can be reached by either horse carridges, which can be booked in the village at 'Fiakerhof', by footwalk (approximately 100 minutes) or by taxi. The air is fresh and healthy, herds of deers and chamois live in their natural habbitat and can be observed at the edges of the forrest on the way or at the opening of the steep slopes. The restaurant is the upper of the two which lie at the foot of a mountain chain that ends right at the destination. It boasts a terrace wich invites to enjoy the beautiful view and take a sunbath as well as a playground for children. Inside, the interior consists of traditional handcrafts which also relate to hunting and landscape pictures. An open fire place warms nicely and rounds up the warm and comfortable atmosphere. We had deer and fish which both tasted great. Service was helpful and attentive.

My Fiancé and I got married in Filzmoos on the 24th April 2014 we had our reception in the Unterhof Alm. We had a horse ride up through the trees from the village and the views were spectacular. We had a brilliant day, the venue is perfect it looked lovely and everything went very smooth. We had 46 guest and everyone enjoyed it immensely. The food and service couldn’t have been better. We had Jagabuam as our wedding band, they were very lively and keep the craic going late into the night. Our wedding planner was Ingrid Eibl from Panorama Tours and Travel, Ingrid was very professional and helpful and thanks to her we had such a perfect day. We would highly recommend Ingrid and the Unterhof for a perfect wedding in Austria.

Nice restaurant in the middle of the mountains at the foot of the Bischofsmutze. The nicest thing is to go there by horse-drawn sleigh. Food is good and they use (partially) their home grown ingredients. On some days they have live music.

Amazing food, garnished with views that leave you breathless. Staff are friendly and helpful. We celebrated out 25th Wedding anniversary hear and staff organised a cake and made the whole experience unforgettable.
